The contrast of these callas provided a perfect opportunity to emphasize the lines and shapes

Poppy Plus One

This image was taken at the Antelope Valley Poppy Preserve outside of Lancaster, California. Poppies can be difficult to shoot close up at the Poppy Preserve because it is always windy there, but they are a fun flower to shoot. Depending on the light, the poppies take on many different looks. Sometimes they are wide open and other times they are closed, which makes their detail fun to shoot.
